From the Vault: Top Projects of the Year

As the curtains draw on another big year for White Cloud Media Group, we reflect on the remarkable number of diverse set of productions to come through our door. This is a retrospective post snapshots some of our favorite projects from these past 12 months.


Tobin Center Benefit Concert


This video was released during the benefit concert on Thursday, November 9, 2023, and on mobile kiosks throughout the venue.


The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts 2023 Benefit Concert featured country music legend Wynonna Judd. Past Benefit Concert Celebration artists have included Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, Dolly Parton, Steven Tyler, Paula Abdul, Gladys Knight, and The Doobie Brothers. Tobin Deep in the Heart film screening 


On April 13th, 2023, 1,600 San Antonio area students visited The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts for a free screening of Deep in the Heart, a documentary celebrating the vast Texas landscapes and diverse wildlife, narrated by Matthew McConaughey. Following the screening, the students enjoyed a panel discussion with conservation experts and filmmaker Ben Masters.


About the film:

Told through the eyes of wildlife species ranging from the mysterious blind catfish to the elusive mountain lion, the story follows our ever-changing relationship with the natural world and showcases our ability to destroy, conserve, and recover wildlife and the habitat we mutually depend on.


How NEC UNIVERGE BLUE Helps Channel Partners Grow Their Business

Filmed at their headquarters in Dallas to steward (and attract) Channel Partners to NEC Corporation of America's channel partner program, this video puts a face to the dedicated NEC team members who support their network of Channel Partners across the country.

Hearst Labs Pitch Event  


This competition was held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, San Antonio, TX and livestreamed for their New York office.


Pitch HearstLab is a pitch event series to find and fund the best the best high-growth, B2B(2C) women-led startups in the US (and select international markets). Pitch HearstLab aims to close the gap in venture capital funding for women by helping founders build healthy, sustainable and highly scalable businesses. See the list of this year's winners.


Hand Me Up 


One of our first company spotlights of the year, we got to know Kara and Nicole, the creative minds behind Hand Me Up!, as they shared their experiences creating a company that reduces clothing waste while helping other parents get curated outfits for their young children.


This team has been featured in the New York Times and recently won Geekdom's Community Fund investment for $25,000. Check them out.


Thrive Youth Center Sandy's Story


Sandy founded Thrive Youth Center on February 25, 2015, working tirelessly to create a safe and supportive center for homeless LGBTQ+ youth to become productive, skilled, educated, and successful adults with the opportunity to achieve their dreams and truly Thrive.


The Sandy 225 Fund was created to honor the legacy of Thrive Youth Center's Founder and Executive Director, Sandra Whitley. This fund will allow young adults to apply for financial assistance to support their educational and career goals and allow flexibility that other resources may not be able to provide. Learn more.


The Road to Recovery: Ken's Journey Across Texas


 

Being chosen for RUFF this year is a great honor, and we are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers as this particular festival focuses on avant-garde, art-house, independent, and no/low-budget film-making.


The Rivercity Underground Film Festival is set for January 13, 2024. More details to come.
